Carrington College's™ Dental Assisting program provides comprehensive education in the clinical, laboratory, and administrative responsibilities. Students learn a variety of career-relevant skills like chair side assisting procedures, oral hygiene, office techniques, and more. Our Dental Assisting program ensures each student graduates with real-world experience through an externship at a dentist's office or other facility.
Carrington College's™ Massage Therapist program is designed to train students in how to provide safe, positive, and healing massage. Our massage program combines the study of Swedish massage with other energetic and manual massage therapies, as well as the study of anatomy and physiology, professional ethics and communication, and the business of massage. Graduates may be prepared to work in medical clinics, hospitals, resorts, spas, health clubs, and more.
Carrington College's™ Medical Administrative Assisting program is designed to teach students the skills and knowledge they need to direct the front office of a wide range of medical and dental practices. Our Medical Administrative Assisting program provides comprehensive instruction and training in various secretarial functions, manual office systems and computer programs typically used in medical practices.
The Medical Assisting program at Carrington College™ combines clinical instruction, class lectures, and practical experience in real medical facilities to prepare students for successful careers as medical assistants. Designed to prepare students for this rewarding position, our program will teach students the skills and knowledge needed to effectively assist medical professionals and perform essential office administration tasks.
Carrington College's™ Medical Assisting/Limited X-Ray program is designed to provide comprehensive training in anatomy and physiology, office procedures, clinical procedures, and limited X-ray services. This unique combined program can prepare graduates to work as Medical Assistants with expanded radiography duties in medical offices and clinics. Participants in this program may practice their skills in our energized X-Ray lab and must take part in an 240 hour externship.
The Medical Billing and Coding program at Carrington College™ is designed to prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed to accurately work with critical health care information. Our medical billing and coding program teaches students everything about health information technology, including how to collect, maintain, organize, and interpret essential data.
The Medical Office Management program is designed for students with previous training in the technical aspects of an allied health field. Curriculum includes critical business management and general education courses. Graduates may be prepared for managerial/supervisory positions either in their health care field, or in related health care businesses.
The Pharmacy Technician program at Carrington College™ is designed to provide the instruction and comprehensive technical and practical training needed to assist licensed pharmacists. Students study pharmaceutical terminology, medical terminology, law and ethics issues, and more. Graduates will be possess a solid understanding of drug trade, generic medications, strengths, dosages, and routes of administration.
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program at Carrington College™ has submitted an Application for Candidacy, which is the formal application required in the pre-accreditation stage. Submission of this document does not ensure that the program will be granted candidacy or accreditation status. Although the College plans to attain CAPTE accreditation status prior to the graduation of the first PTA program class, there is no guarantee that CAPTE will grant accreditation to the program. Graduation from an accredited program is required for licensure by all states currently licensing physical therapist assistants and for individual membership in the American Physical Therapy Association.
Required Testing or Certification upon Graduation: National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) for Physical Therapist Assistants + state juris prudence license exam.
Carrington College's™ Veterinary Assisting program is designed to provide total care training for this rewarding animal care profession. Students develop career skills and gain hands-on training as they learn about animal communication and behavior and how to treat illness, mend injuries, improve nutrition, and increase the happiness and life expectancy of animals. Graduates will have developed vital career skills and gained essential hands-on training in how to care for animals and assist in the operation of veterinary practices under the supervision of a veterinarian.
